Vacation Time In Honduras — The First Day

on

I am in the city of San Pedro Sula, Honduras for a long-awaited week long vacation.

The weather is sweltering hot — 91 degrees to be exact — but the people are as noble as I remembered them. As our airplane landed, I could see the countryside as beautiful as always.

My wife noticed the lack of paved roads, and we could see palm-like plantations. I wasn’t sure if it was banana or something else.

I was able to catch a picture of two Honduran air force jets.

A quick Google search turned up this website which has some information on the basic history of Honduras, as well as pictures of its air force planes.

We spent our first evening in Honduras by visiting my old church there for Saturday night services. After the service, we where joined by 3 long time friends of mine and their wives for a light dinner at Pizza Hut.

We got to bed by midnight, Mountain Time. I woke up this morning surprisingly refreshed and well-rested.

P.S.
To keep things lively around here, I set up some blog posts in Word Press to publish during the week, while I’m on vacation. So, even though I’m not going to be doing a lot of active blogging, there is going to be new stuff here every day. So keep coming back and checking in.
